What’s the best thing about working at Children’s?

The people — my co-workers, the parents, the kids — and the hospital’s mission.

What do you like most about the work you do in the Neurosurgery Division?

Each day is different and the only constant is that everything changes. Our group is always looking for better ways to accomplish our goals.

What makes Children’s Neurosurgery Division unique?

The people that work here are a tremendously hard-working team that pulls together to accomplish everything from the routine to the impossible.

What made you want to come to Children’s?

I thought it would be an interesting place to fill in for a few years while my kids were in high school and didn’t need me around as much. That was 20 years ago and now it is hard to imagine NOT coming here every day.

What do people say when they find out you work here?

They often ask ‘how do you handle working there?’ I explain that for every tragedy, there are hundreds of success stories and that is what keeps us all coming back.
